The Wyandotte Museums are a part of the Department of Recreation, Leisure, and Culture for the City of Wyandotte.  Established in 1977, the Wyandotte Museums seeks to promote an awareness and appreciation of the history of our city and the surrounding area.  Our efforts in this pursuit include historical programs, tours, collections, and preservation.

Hours of Operation Notice

Office Closed for Holiday

The Office will be closed Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.  The Office will reopen Tuesday, September 8th.  Please note that normal tour hours still apply.

Annual Hallowe'en Open House

Friday, October 16th from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  

Free Admission to the Ford-MacNichol Home!  Learn about the customs of Victorian mourning from our 19th century funerary exhibit.  Also, take some home historical decorating ideas from our Edwardian Hallowe'en Party!  In cooperation with Downtown Third Fridays.

Upcoming Museum Fundraiser


Fall Citywide Garage Sale Registration Now Available!

Bring out your treasures from the attic and basement September 12th and 13th, and get ready to make some deals!  An annual fundraiser for the Wyandotte Museums, Wyandotte's City Wide Sale is one of the most anticipated in the area. 

Applications for participants are being excepted now through Wednesday, September 9. at the Wyandotte Museums Office.

Maps of participating sale locations along with a categorized listing of items will be sold  for $1 the days and hours of the sale at the Ford-MacNichol Home.

Drennan Family Exhibit Opening June 26th!


New Third Floor Exhibit

Featuring the Drennan Family


Come see our new third floor exhibit highlighting the lives of the Drennan Family starting Friday, June 26th!  The exhibit, titled Navigating the Norm: The Women of the Drennan Family, explores the way the five Drennan sisters challenged expectations for women during the early 1900s.

Tours of the Ford-MacNichol home occur Thursday thru Sunday from noon to 4 pm.  We hope to see you soon!
