The Wyandotte Museums are a part of the Department of Recreation, Leisure, and Culture for the City of Wyandotte.  Established in 1977, the Wyandotte Museums seeks to promote an awareness and appreciation of the history of our city and the surrounding area.  Our efforts in this pursuit include historical programs, tours, collections, and preservation.

Volunteer Tour Guides Needed!

Are you interested in local history?  Looking to give back to your community?  The Wyandotte Museum is looking for volunteer tour guides to share their love of Wyandotte's heritage during our normal tour hours at the Ford-MacNichol Home.  Those with reliable availability with be trained by staff and provided with all the materials necessary to give guided tours of our house museum.  If you are interested in learning more about Wyandotte history, meeting new people, and becoming more involved in our communityt's cultural resource, please contact us!

Dates for the 2012 Heritage Event Series can now be found here.  Be sure to get your tickets early for our signature sell-out programs!  Tickets go on sale the first business day of the month before each event.  We hope to see you at the Wyandotte Museums this year!

Museum Closed for the Winter Season

Just a reminder that the Ford-MacNichol Home is closed for tours for the winter season.  We will re-open Thursday, April 5, 2012.  However, our office and archives facility will remain open during normal business hours.
